Our Motorcycles

  

My  first street bike was a 1978 Yamaha XS750D. It had a Vetter fairing complete with lowers. This was a great bike which gave me trouble free transportation for a couple of years before I sold it to move up to a bigger bike. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the Yamaha. 

After the Yamaha I got a 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000. I purchased this bike in the spring of 1986 and rode it religiously for 4 years. It was a great ride. Emerald green and later added a Vetter fairing complete with stereo and matching trunk (no pic though). Unfortunately financial difficulties demanded that I sell the bike.

After the Kawasaki I decided to get back to riding again got a 1982 Suzuki GS1100GL. I purchased it in September 1999. It had 42k miles on it. My wife started riding with me on this one.  This is the first bike I have ever taken a trip longer than 400 miles on. In March 2000 we took a 1000 mile plus trip through the Texas hill country. It was fabulous.You can find a few pics of that trip in the other pics section. I have added a luggage rack, sissy bar with pad and Willie & Max saddlebags and fork bag. This baby is still very fast.

After the Suzuki we bought a 1997 Honda Valkyrie. It was purchased  in December 2000. It had 10,000 miles on it. We rode this bike for the next five years and thouroughly loved every minute of it. We ended up selling it with 77,000 miles on it in 2005 due to the purchase of a 2005 Gold Wing.

We bought  a 2005 Goldwing new in April 2005.  We rode for 5 months and put over 15,000 miles on it, most of them solo. What  little my wife did ride brought her to the conclusion that it just was not the bike for her. We traded it in on a 2006 Harley Davidson Electraglide in October of 2005.

October of 2005 we purchased a new 2006 Harley Davidson Electraglide Standard.  I made some extensive engine upgrades to bring the performance to where I could enjoy it. We rode it for 2 years and 5 months and put over 50,000 miles on it, only to finally come to the realization that it was not the bike for me. We sold it at the begining of April 2008.

After the Electraglide We went back to the beloved Valkyrie. Only this time it was the Interstate model. We purchased it in April 2008 with 44,000 miles. This was it, we wereback on the Valkyrie and this is where we belonged. So I thought.

Here we go three years later and as life goes on we move on. In April of 2011 I purchased a new 2011 Victory Cross Country.

Katrina bought this one, which s why we said goodbye to the Interstate. This was a fantastic bike. By far one of the best I have had. We purchased the new 2011 Victory Cross Country in April of 2011. 1 month short of 4 years for the tried and true Victory, life gets in the way, there are bills to pay. Sold this bike (unfortunately) to reduce some debt.

10years later and back on a Valkyrie. An attempt to go back to basics with a 1999 Valkyrie Standard, purchased in April of 2015. Rode it for a few months when electrical issues started to show up. After weeks of trying to find the problem with no success I decided not to mess with it any longer and traded it in.

Our last motorcycle was a 2015 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Limited.

We bought this bike near the end of August 2015. I have added the Vance and Hines tuner in order to self tune the bike. Awesome results!
We sold it in January of 2019 and purchased a Jeep and camp trailer moving on to other adventures. You can follow us on our new adventure
